    Yes C rating matters. Keep the same Crating when in series or parallel. Minimum 30c on the spartan.

      I run one myself from time to time and 25c just doesnt last and strains the motor and ESC.

              2S or 3S on right or left. Doesnt matter. You could add a little weight to side that has the smaller battery with a large sinker or two if it doesnt seem to balance well but I never had any issue. Sport boating only, no race so it was not an issue. I've been using a prather s215 prop on 5s and no issue's.

                  Yes, MAH and C rating need to be the same. Can be different manufactures, but not really recommended because manufactures don't always use the same criteria for determine the C rating.

                  So to play it safe, same MAH, same C rating, same manufacture, and same series/model of battery.
