GPS speeds of castle system with stock batteries.

I was just wondering if there was a noticable speed increase for the old sytem to the castle system.

I got 53 MPH on new castle stuff - stock everything before the speed controller caught on fire and burned the hull. Prior, I got 46 MPH on the 442 prop (not sure why the speed went down).

I got 27 on the stock batteries in there second cycle charged @ 1c. I'm wondering if I charged them @ 4 or 5 amp if they would go faster.

No, they will only charge faster. Not sure how the stock Nimh batteries are rated, but generally with nimh you only want to charge at 1c rate anyway. (i.e. a 5000 mah battery would have a max charge rate of 5 amps).

Haven't used Nimh for awhile, maybe newer nimh batteries can take a higher charge rate, check the documentation that came with the batteries.

those batteries I think are 3300mah so charging them at 4 or 5 amps is not a real biggie, and you may see a tad more power out of them
its like the packs have more punch when charging them at a higher rate
