I won't buy anything electric with the tracxas name on it. It is poop.
Yeah not sure what to think about these???
And the price of almost 200bucks for the big 2cell pack and 160 bucks for the 8,400 3cell pack, there are much better choices out there for much less and even for the same price....

I agree the price on those packs (like most traxxas items), are just way overpriced. Turnigy, Zippy, Sky Lipos, Blue Lipos and Gens Ace lipos would be a much better value (and prob performence) then the Traxxas packs. There are only a few packs that should carry prices like that Hyperion and TP are the only ones that come to mind right now. I would like to see how they do on a eagle tree and what there performance rating truly is, I have a feeling the Gens Ace and Turnigys would prob out perform them. I'd even bet money on the Gens Ace packs!
After the performance and price tag with the Venlion (spelling) motor in my Slash 4x4 i was pretty dis-appointed with there motors. It was like a expensive FSD motor. I would have been better with a Feigao over that traxxas motor. It was fast but also I could boil an egg on the motor after a few minutes on 2s.
Bought a set of the 2s 10,000mah packs to run in my Spartan. I wanted another set of lipos and wanted some good runtime, my lhs gave me a decent deal on them putting them in the price range of hyperion or NeuEnergy Lipos. This is the first and only run I have made with them but they seem to be decent.
Right on brushless! I have 2 8400 mah 25c traxxas lipos to try and will keep the forum/thread posted.... 8400 multiplied by 25c is 210 Amps continous which is impressive, considering my turnigys are 5000 mah and have a discharge of 45c which is,225 amps continous
Scott Spartan#1: castle hydra ice 240 castle 2200 Prather 220 turnigy 5.0 45c lipos with max amps water pump... Spartan#2: leopard 1800, octura 440 ,traxxas 8400 mah 25c lipos.....updated deeper hull....
I've got a few cycles in on my Traxxas packs, 3s 5000 & 2s 7600. They work pretty good, come off a little warm but they haven't puffed. I would definitely recommend breaking them in on 6s at %50. Stays well within their recommendation, pulling 30-40A and it's not painfully slow at 30mph.

what would be impressive is if Turningy had 8400mah packs then you would have 378amps cont
so that actually kicks the Traxxas packs in the gut

I have been running Traxxas 11.1 v 5000 mah lipos, and really like them I get good run times and steady performance in my Spartan. In a few days my Traxxas 11.1v 8.400 mah's will be here. $220.00 for the pair at Tower Hobbies plus $10.00 UPS shipping to the house. I read a lot of bad news from people here about Traxxas. Time will tell, but I have been very satisfied so far with the set up on the new Spartan.
