Fix your Spartan Grease mess and still have a greased shaft

I know there have been some fixes, like putting a rubber gromit in the space. but I will post mine, I have no grease flying all over and shaft is still greased after a few runs. The only parts you will need is a traxxas stuffing tube seal:
and smeothing to block the little hole in the strut, I used a two part marine putty.

First remove the flex shaft and strut, leave stuffing tube in. Next trim the stuffing tube seal flush to the hull, you sould just see hull and a little bit of stuff tube exposed. Next take your new seal and slide it on to the stuffing tube outside the hull, this like using a rubber gromit but its one less void in the connection. Take your shaft and stick it in the hole, of the strut. What you are trying to do is put the assembly back together and compress the seal as yoy do that. I should look like this when you are done. You will also need to block that little hole how ever you prefer. It should like like this when done.

that works good. I did it to one a few months back and it never leaked again.
