    Lvc on sealing 180

Can you set the lvc on a seaking 180 to 3.1 or 3.2 volts per cell safely ? If the lvc kicks in too early? Haven't experienced this yet but want to know this for when I program the esc with the pgm card.... Thanks i'n advance!SORRY, DAMN SPELL CHECK, my post is supposed to say SEAKING..... my phone auto corrects.... Lol

    I think it can be programed from 2.8v - 3.0v - 3.2v - 3.4v

Is 2.8 volts too low for a 3s lipo? Or should I play it safe and lvc at like 3.2 or 3.1? I heard on here that the seaking 180 tends to lvc too early.....

all depends on how good your packs are
for me I would set the LVC at 3.4V
then check my resting volts before charging and see how much % my packs take after running them to the lvc
if they only take 60% then I would move the lvc to 3.2v and try again

or in other words bro, if when you charge your packs and they take more than 80%, your lvc is set to low

Brushless is right, I set mine to 3.2 volts and when i plug them in to charge the resting volts is 3.7 and puts in about 3700 to 4000MAH back in so I probably could go to 3.0 volts but im getting good run times where im at.

the more I keep reading and talking with friends who use lipos the more I will not run my backs beyond the 80% mark... most of my runs now I'm only using 65-75% of the packs.. they will have a longer life

I set it for 3.0 volts.... Got the hobbywing pgm card and the seaking 180 esc, how come I can only go up to #4 pgm option on the card?

If those are 5000mah packs, you are pretty much right where you want to be.

They are 4000's but that should be a good start. Any idea on the programming? With the card?

what are you trying to get?
I would start at 3.2v just for the first run to make sure you don't run your packs to low

I got that set , but on the pgm card it won't let me go past #4 on the card fir the things you can adjust. U can't adjust timing, brake % which you don't need on a boat ,but it won't let me set forward/ reverse. Only forward/reverse/brake...... New to the esc and pgm card. I usually set it up via the transmitter. Which I might try instead.....

I would suggest you consider starting at 3.4 or 3.2 on the LVC and drop it lower only if your residual voltage and capacity indicates you are not fully discharging your battery. (as per Brushless55 recommendation/information above)

Are you certain you have the programming card for the marine ESC? There are different cards for marine/vehicle/plane ESC's.

I have heard they are the same card with different face plates for each application, but if you are not able to access all of the settings, maybe there is a difference in how they are programmed as well.

I'm pretty sure it is. Bought it at the same time I got the esc . It said "you might want to buy the pgm card" so I did lol.... But I made sure it said marine when I bought it ...
