I think some here are missing the point. I don't think many of us are "dissing" anything... I whole-heartedly welcome any new entry to the game. The more options, the better it is for the hobby.
What I'm suggesting is that we be CAUTIOUS about our expectations and buying into CLAIMS like this. You MIGHT consider giving people with the experience running boats like this the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their input. They call it 'hype' for for a reason. Someone above commented on some of us "dissing" this before it even comes out... Well... turn it around... BEFORE it comes out, I'd hold off on making claims on how great it is. All I'm suggesting is that we will have to wait and see. We've seen claims like this before... They are all over E-Bay...Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

... If you are not spending $2000.00 on one boat with all the high end stuff you are Nobody! and we know it all and the rest of us are Dumb!
These racers are suppose to be Ambassadors for the sport, as WE are all in this together, but with this attitude of a few FE racers, that is why there is more sport boaters then racers, because "WE ARE TIRED OF THE CRAP " from these people. Do not think that you are the only one that knows anything! Have you ever tried to get a straight answer from one of these die hards without some snide comment and secret undertone with their answer..These same people did the same thing over at the Red Board, and I got tired of the crap so I left there, now we are getting it here...Grow Up and wait for the new boat! Oh I forgot, it's NOT ProBoat......and Spektrum.... enough said!
You need to stand down pal and take a breath. You are not thinking clearly and are reading crap into this thread that simply isn't there!
With experience, comes wisdom, and many of us have bought into hype, and then been disappointed. This boat might be a really nice boat. No doubt, Traxxas makes a lot of FUN stuff. BUT, there are some simply facts that can't be ignored, some that have been in place for BILLIONS OF YEARS; Hydrodynamics, laws of Physics, properties of water, properties of plastic/ABS, you know, silly stuff like that, that make certain things true. These create certain truths about what it takes to make a boat go, and we've all been through this before.
All we are suggesting is that we'll have to wait and see. I hope it turns out to be a GREAT boat, and brings more boaters into the fold!! In the meantime, I think you need to stop trying to dis some here, just because they happen to be racers.Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

Dude... you are WAY out of line... As one of these 'racers' you are referring too, are you forgetting that I've been working my ass off for the last two years to bring sport boaters and potential racers alike a line of CHEAP RACE BOATS! NOT to mention all the work I've done with our local club, and NAMBA as a whole, to try to bring inexpensive, SPEC racing, into the rules!
