The last time I took my boat out to the lake she was running fast. I had just installed a Leopard 4074 1800kv motor with a Seaking 180a esc and my new S/B M645 prop. earlier in the day it ran 57.5mph on the gps. I was sure that this setup would have put me in the 60mph range on 6s but didn't. So I changed my timing from 15.00 to 18.75 and it just about blew the hatch off when it went! The boat was just out of reach and all I could do was watch as the thick magic smoke spewed out of boat. I now had a black sticky and stinky mess inside my hull. The esc was completely incinerated but other than some discoloration and the smell the hull was fine. I found that Simple green and acetone works awesome at cleaning up the mess. while I had the boat stripped I put down an extra layer of 1oz cloth and epoxied all the wood to seal it back up. Then comes the paint! I had the idea for a few weeks but was too lazy to do it till now. My prep work and masking were good but I let the paint dry to much before pulling the tape off so my lines aren't as clean as I would like. Now all I have to do is wait for my new esc to arrive and back to the lake to try it again!
