    ProBoat Impulse Strut Crack

    Has anyone experienced their strut crack like this? What caused it? The boat ran great last time I ran it. I did not notice this until today when I was pulling the shaft to lube it for this weekend racing. I always lube the shaft with either Prather or Grim Racer shaft lube before I run it.

      Out of balance prop maybe?? I've had a couple of strut failures due to poor Chinese castings VS machined, but none quite as severe as that. JIM

          I think it was just defective as the prop is balanced. The metal is actually brittle like plastic.

              Luckily, Struts are cheap. I'd call Pro Boat first & they may send you a replacement free. JIM
