Veles 29 Motor/ Flex Shaft Alignment?

Hello, I have taken the Motor off to install a new coupler/collet and am in the midst of reassembly. Does anyone know the proper method for motor/ flex shaft alignment? Please Help? Thanks!

I just slide the motor towards the flex shaft until it went in easy, then tightened the motor down. No issues here.

Alignment issues

My two cents is, I typically bolt the motor to the mount loosley
(if screws can be tightened once everything is installed)
then mount whole assembly to the boat "loosley".
I then connect the flex shaft coupler tight, Making sure i have clearance between drivedog and strut/stuffing tube.
Once the coupler is tight, I tighten the motor screws and finish with the motor mount screws.
Sometimes I run the motor at low rpm to make sure it "looks straight" before tightening it all together.
Long story short, if I believe alignment is an issue I will mount everything loosely (frim but loose enough to adjust)
and tighten things down evenly. Hope this helps.
