stiletto esc question

I burnt up my stock esc. I have a spare traxxas vxl6s esc. Can i use this esc on this boat? I'm running 3s lipos. Wasnt sure if motor timing was an issue or anything else? the motor is still stock also.

When u say your running 3s lipos do u mean your running2x3s=6s or just 3s the stock proboat esc only handles up to 5s

oops..sorry, yes running 2x3s to get 6s. no wonder it screamed then went up in flames. I purchased the boat used and this is what was in it for batteries. now i want to put my spare esc out of my spartan in it.

The spartan esc will be fine but im not sure of that motor is rated for it i have a stiletto also i run it on 6s with the 1500kv miss geico motor so far so good.. But from what i hear the 1800 kv that comes in the stiletto only handles 5s like the 60amp esc it comes with

Hmmmm maybe someone else will chime in that might know. If not, i guess i'll find out.
