OK so I should run my impulse with 4074 2200k and 180a ESC on 4S with a m445 prop?
Then my mystic with a 3674 2200kv and 120a esc on 4S with what prop here is what I have left on props since the m445 will be on the impulse..I have a m440, and x440, and a grim 40*52/3? I also have a grim 42*55 but its not sharpened or balanced?

I've had good luck speed wise with the 40-52/3 but what work to get it right. It does cavitate coming out of corners though.

So one more question...on my impulse setup why can't I just keep the m440 and step down to 4S?

Absolutly no reason at all. The larger prop will just add a bit more speed. However the smaller one will add more runtime. Also a larger prop will kick the LVC in quicker.

OK so I turned off the PVC on the ESC and I got full power for about a minute then poof....ESC died. OSE just informed me that I shouldn't have been using the seaking 120 with the Leo 3674 2200kv motor....when in fact they were the ones who told me to use that combo in my cat.. can anyone please inform me on if I can or cannot use this setup and its on 4S mind you and if not why? Also I have the exact same setup on my ul-1 and it runs awesome but not on the cat?

The hydro would be more efficient once running but they are hard to get onto plane. Mmm,I know some of the guys run 120's in the Mystic/Geico. I run the 180 and probably use it all. What timing did you set it to? And which prop did you end up running?

Right I mean my hydro is running that setup and it runs great and the ESC is never hot after a run...but on the mystic I didn't even get to do one speed pass it died on acceleration. I just got the ESC a few weeks ago and this was my first run. The prop was a m445 on 4s

Well I am not sure what a M445 will pull but my M645 uses all that I expect the 180 to have. I'd have to look up some logs but I'm sure it is near max. The SK's don't have that double amp burst like some of the other ESC's

you need the 180 with them 445 and even the x642 with that motor on 4s
It pulls almost 150 at full power from my load test in the past
I have 2 mystics one with leo2200kv and one with leo 2000kv both on 4s
I run 4500 -5000 4s 60c and it moves but will smoke anything less than a 180 esc
                      Miss Geico (now white) Leopard 4074 2200kv motor T180 esc,x642 54.6 mph
                      Miss Geico 2(now black and white)4074 2000kv motor, T180 esc m445 51.2 mph

                        post nr 8: 4074/6s /2200kv ?
                        i don't understand that you are running a cat on 4s 2200kv and a mono on 6s 2200kv.... strange

                        and a 3674 2200kv 4s will work without problems with a 42/43 mm 1.4p cnc
pretty sure that the problem can be found in your lipo's/connectors/wiring
