    ESC Timing

Guys need some info. New Mystic Cat with stock 1800KV motor, seaking 180A ESC, and standard prop moving to Oct 642 next.
    Running 2- Hyperion EX 5000 mamp 2S.
I have the timing set at 11.25 my first run was 33.8 mph batteries, motor and ESC all under 90 degrees.

Should I move the timing to 15 or leave it at 11.25?

Boat ran good with minimal propoising, moving the batteries all the way forwaard should help, strat is level with sponsons.
    Thanks for the help.

    Hello John,
I would try different settings. Advancing the timing generally will increase heat and amp draw and not neccessarily speed.
I would experiment with various settings including those lower than your current setting of 11.25. Run each setting for less than a minute.
And see how the performance increases/decreases with each setting. Of course, check your temps after each run.

      Dom,
Thanks for the info, never thought of trying the timing on a lower setting. I will work through the process.
