Prop choice for a mild stock setup

Trying to figure out the best prop for a stock MG V2 setup. I've changed the ESC-Battery leads to 6mm bullets, but am leaving the ESC-Motor connectors as is until I see heat problems. The v2 has the 60A esc.

Which would be the best prop? Looking for a relatively mild setup for my son to run, but want enough oommph to air it out to avoid too much bouncing. X442, X642, or M445? Repeat, I don't want to change the ESC....

I have read the X642 is recommended for stock, but I see folks talking about the M445 but with 120A ESC. But I am confused as the M445 has less total pitch than the X642....

    Thanks,
    Chief

From what I have hear the x series props create a little lift, I installed an x642 of my stock mystic and boy did it help!

How are your temps with the x642? The Geico should run cooler since it is a 1500kv motor vs. your 1800kv.

They weren't even warm! And I was running it in 120degree weather!!! I stopped checking after a couple runs because it was so cool!

It depends on how hard u run it also! I wasn't going full speed all the time, I play around with my bro and his aquacraft rio so it isn't always going fast but when I was it wasn't very hot!

I have a V1 MG29 and have tried a couple of different props, beyond the stock plastic one .... I tried a balanced Grim 42X55 and the electronics got hotter than I prefer, after ~ 1-2 minute in the local pond. The bounce got more violent and I didn't like how the boat reacted. I tried a stock PB SS 1.6" X 2.5" (PRB4019) that was balanced and the boat ran cool and had much less bounce. That prop is heavy, though, and it seems to be wearing the strut bushing much more rapidly. This seems to be common "issue" with the stock strut, though, the aft most bushing wears quick. I bought and balanced a M445, but after reading alot, it seems that it will overheat the stock electronics. I also just bought an M440 and it is quite "rough" in its raw form. Started cleaning up the casting goobers and matching the blades, but the local pond is frozen, so it won't matter for a while. For stock esc, motor, and to get some life out of the strut bushing, I think I am going to try one of the CNC Magalium props for sale on here, probably the 40mm or 42mm size. I think the lighter weight will be a big plus for the strut bushing's longevity. I replaced one strut bushing with the lead-teflon bushings, but have not tried that yet (bought a new stock strut and installed that instead, just prior to winter). Over winter my son and I added a new Mystic, a new Revolt 30 and a new Impulse 31 V1 to the fleet, and from a lot of reading on here, the M445 should work real well on the Revolt or Impulse, both of which have 60A escs' and 1800KV motors. Have not heard of many trying that prop on the Mystic, which also has the 60A esc and 1800KV motor, though.

            Hope this helps.

Update-- I've been running the X442 and X440 props (I use the X440 to slow the boat down a bit for my son in windy/choppy conditions). Was getting a lot of bounce until I raised the strut height (tad above the bottom of the sponsons), and placed the packs further back-- that was the ticket. Boat is rock solid now.
