    Need Help On Deciding

I'm going to be new to the hobby and need help figuring out which boat to get. I have narrowed it to the three below: Also keep in mind my LHS has the blackjack 29 for 379.00. Also if I choose a Proboat model I see that it comes with EC3 connectors. How do you guys find batteries for those two boats or what do you do to make it work?

    BlackJack 29
    Miss Geico V2
    Montley Crew

motley crew or gieco is best for first boat. The BlackJack 29 needs modifications in order to run 6S batteries or it will burn up.

i think the bj29 would be a good buy yes it needs mods to use 6s but come on 4s will be great for a first boat and if you do decide to go bigger on voltage use different electrics like 99% of people do anyway that is a great hull IMO and will be very fast on 4s and as far as the connectors go change them to 5.5mm bullets much better than any plug out there

I just want to make sure I get the best bang for the buck. The price of 380 for the blackjack just seems to good to pass up, except the montley crew boat only has a price tag of 320 and i don't need to change and connectors.

If I go BJ do I just change the connectors on the ESC? I assume there is some sodering to do that?

That's a pretty good deal. I guess it really comes down to preference in color between all three? Is there no clear winner here?

That's what I mean. It seems like all three are the same besides their color.

I have the 'old' miss geico. Been running good for 2 + years now. It's has been a little hard to dial out the bounch of that hull. But otherwise it has been good.

Then a friend of mine handed me a pnp mystic this spring to set up for him. I got to say that was a pritty darn good boat out of the box. I changed the stock esc for the T 180 amp( now because the stock would not work, He just bought it along with the boat) and changed to 5,5mm bullets on the motor wires and ec5 on the battery wires. Slaped on a prather 220 prop and this is how it went.

Here I use the nano 45-90c lipos and also the 35-130c . 2x 2s 4400 mah. It had good run times and good speed, and it was so much better in the water than my geico. The rudder probaot has on the mystic and bj29 is really good. I have never run( ore seen) the
montley crew live, but from the tube clips it seems to run pritty good after some minor upgrades.

If the bj runs as well as the mystic, and it shoud since it's the same boat, just the bj has a tad bigger esc , you are in for many good times on the water. So I would say the BJ with a prather 220 prop and some high C rating lipos to start of with.
