    Whats fast?????

Im looking for a FAST motor for my geico. Im runnin a seaking 180, prath er 230 and stock 1500kv motor on 4s. Boat is not slow, prolly low 40's, but i want more. Any ideas?? Lookin for a motor that will "drop in". I dont race either, so just lookin for ballistic strait line speed. Let me know what you guys r runnin.
    Thanks

That setup with a 2200kv motor will produce high forties to low fifties.
      white geico w/2200kv 3674 leopard 53.5mph 4s2p, geico w/ 1800kv outrunner 52mph on 4s2p, genesis w/2200kv castle 53.8 on 4s2p, impulse 31 w/2200kv castle, stock p1 and ul-1

A good prop would push it to 60+. I got mid 50s with just a m445 and a 2000 kv hk4074. The higher efficiency Neu should easily handle more prop as I can run 4 min with Luke warm temps.

          Thanx Jason and shaughnessy.
Whats the diff between say, a 3674-2200 and a 4074-2200??
Jason, i see your runnin the 3674 leo. I know your a strong believer in 4s2p, will i be ok with the more typical dual 2s configuration?

            Also, a 1515 1y 2200kv is a 1/10 revo motor, no??

I think you mean 4s1p? If you do that would be fine, most do. I like 2p because it keeps the heat down and has longer run times.
The 3674 has less torq which helps keep the geico from bouncing at that rpm.
Yes the 1515 is the mamba motor. I run that motor with great results in several boats. It's a torq monster and can swing a lot of prop.

I run a Leo 4082 2200kv, T-180, x-642 and run 4s2p. I've hit 52.3mph on my second run with that setup. Then I tore it down to paint it. And when I get it all painted and clear coated. I'll get back to getting it setup right. but I would bet I can get mid to high 50's out of that setup

Went with a leo 3674 2200 useing the prather 230. First couple runs were spent trying to learn the t-180's issues, but the boat seemed almost as fast on lvc as it did wfo with stock motor!! Cant wait to get see what its got, good times!!
