Turn fins? Negative. No need for them.
The two setups are close in Rpm, so it depends on prop and setup, but the stock pb motor is a nice motor.Comment

The stock motor on the MG is only 1500kv. So 5s (18.4v) x 1500kv is 27,600 rpm's. A 2300kv motor x (18.4v) is 42,320 rpm's. Over 35,000 with some motors is "play at your own risk." You could get away with it if you want to do 4s for longer runs and 5s for very short runs - 2-3 minutes of passes.Comment

If your new 2300kv motor is bigger in size. Longer and bigger around, with the added length you have more torque to turn a larger prop. But watch your temps, when you step up on prop size.
1500kv x 18.5(5s)= 27,700 rpm unloaded
1800kv x 18.5(5s)= 33,300 rpm unloaded
2300kv x 14.8(4s)= 34,040 rpm unloaded
So in theory, the 2300kv should be faster. But more than likely you will pull more amps and run a little hotter on 4s. With slightly lower run times. Or just be like me, I run 4s2pComment
