    Up in smoke

So today im running MG for the first time on 5s sky lipo 5000mah 45c fast she was. hard to keep the front down fliped once going against the wind. had batteries moved 1 inch off the front battery trays still light in the front. so after running for 5min lost half power so brought it in took the hatch off filled with smoke. running seaking 180 m445 prop and proboat 1800kv motor notice motor was hot and three lead wires burnt. So you think 5s was much for 1800kv or faulty motor. no in the market for a new one. I as liking the leapard 4074 2200kv but now not knowing how it will do with running 5s. top speed on gps was 53.9 thanks.

that would be a good 4s motor. (the leopard) 5s may have worked well with your motor, but a m445 was too much prop at 5s.

So ya think I should go with the leopard drop the prop size to like a x642 then 5s or keep m445 and run 4s with the leopard?

yup. It would be fine. If you really want to run 5s, go with a motor around 1800kv.

Ran my geico today for the first time with leo 2000kv on 4s took off the m445 and used x642 speeds where 48mph. Like to get back to the mid 50s temps. on motor around 108F never tried my m445 prop do you think that would raise temps to much? or shouuld i try to tweek 5 mph more out of the x642?
