    New Miss Geico Setup.

Just thought I would share the information on a setup that is working incredible for me.

    Offset Rudder, x642 s/b/t, Turnigy 180A marine esc, 6S 2650mah 35/70c x2, 6.5mm bullet connectors, stock 1500kv motor
strut is 1/8" above top of bracket.
batteries in center of wood bracket

The boat has a little more weight now from the electronics and batteries but its just what the boat seemed to need to settle its hull and squeeze out some speed. The power is nice and consistent with the 6s and im running a top speed of 51.4mph gps. It was too windy so i couldnt get a full throttle run. I am very happy with my boat, this is by far the best setup ive had in my mg. If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

Welcome to OSE. Lots of great info on here and thanks for your input. It would be more helpful if you gave the strut relationship to above/below sponsons since the bracket and strut mount(ing) can differ. We can then compare and verify to previous posts and our own setup.

Had a run this afternoon on nice calm water, hull was running to wet so some tuning will be needed because of the power/weight difference from 5s. It was a great run and went 7.5 minutes to lvc. I am VERY happy with runtime as most calculations told me i would get around 3-3.5 mins runtime. Temps were ESC -76*, Motor - 91*, batts - 82*. Time to prop up a little it appears. I would appreciate any input on prop cuts for 6s. Thanks guys.

I run mine to today as well after some serious modification i was shaking like a leaf after the first run my nerves got the better of me all that hard work and a crowd of people looking on ,,.its feels heavy to pick up one handed now .were stock it was easy to hold in your one hand and place in the water .i agree totally with fasterhobbies the x weight has made it settle down just nice ,run dead flat little bounce every now and then when crossing wake, but dam enjoyed every bit of it ,
before the last lot of mods it was basically a stock MG with 180amp and leopard 4074 2200kv. 42x55 prop. it would dance up on the prop and lift right out of the water , on the edge of blowing over ,with strut level . after today's run i am happy how well it carved up the lake ,pushing around 45-50mph very stable ,and turning great ,it blows peoples minds when they see just how fast it can go . they are like WOW is that electric ? i had few issues the kintec flex destroyed the stock bushing .this is okas i was having a hard time removing it ,now it just fell out ,i installed the kintec floating bush and that fixed it , the kintex flex seems smaller and let water up the stuffing tube after plenty of grease ,this is using the stock Teflon liner , the liner kintec is a tad to big to slid up the stuffing tube ? meant to be a direct fit , , so i installed the stock flex and no more water entered the hull , all so the kintec drive dog grub screw is 1mm , i dont have 1 mm hex drive ,so i was not sure if the drive dog was going to slip .
