        Just curious, when you install the larger motor, did you use the standard motor mount? Or did you glass in a new one for more support?

            motor mount finished epoxy them tonight , made templates from styrene sheet so the holes and angle are spot on the money . i dont think i bother pluming water into the mount as the hole are small . motor runs cool
            [ATTACH=CONFIG]72593[/ATTACH

            servo mount is in place .. epoxy the motor mounts

              last night i laid up the canopy ,using the same carbon/kevlar cloth 1 layer ,and polyester resin .. water proofed the ESC and started on battery trays ,
              servo mount is a universal hot racing product,just them two alloy posts screwed to carbon sheet epoxied down, effective and simple.
              i made a carbon sheet stuffing tube support , trimmed 10mm off the stuffing tube as the new drive dog is longer ,
              using bob smith industry's 30min slow cure epoxys and titanium bolts on all the hardware mounts ,, its the strongest of all the epoxys 8 hours drying time 24 hour full cure .
              i see the offset rudder bracket is back in stock .looks a little neater then my home made one ,picked one up some shear bolts and a x642 /x442 prop to play around with,has little more pitch then the grim racer 42x55..
              i already replaced the flex cable ,drive dog and bush ,as well as the motor drive dog with kintec racing gear.

                  Joker,
                  Been reading your thread here, and i'm really impressed with what you've done. I have an MG hull with similar damage, and was considering trying to do these same things to fix it, but i have no confidence in my skills with epoxy and carbon cloth (becuse i have no experience with that sort of thing). So i bought a Mystic and transfered over my electronics. My plan was to sell the MG, but now i think i might try to do some repair work on it. I like the MG hull better simply because the rudder set up allows for the use of break-away bolts very easily, and the servo mounts toward the center of the hull instead of toward the battery tray. If i ever get my MG fixed up, i'll post some pics., until then i'll just be jealous of what you did with yours!

                    yeah thanks champ ! to tell you the truth i had to do a lot of research on here ,and the net +youtube plenty of videos on carbon fiber laminating.and general fiberglass repairs to boats ,the info out there if your prepared to dig for it . or just ask if you need help or questions ! I better put the last finished photo up .. its not to hard of a job to perform just little tricky working up in the nose of the hull ..it cost me just as much to repair this hull as my new hull cost , but its stronger now ,i almost have all the parts to build a second miss geico . ,

                    final steps on this boat hull is the ride pads ,true them up,, now i am back at work hard to find the time ,i want to put a flash paint job on it as well ,

                      well i am starting to race the MG in tunnel hull class this month .so i needed to dial them ride pads ink,, 5 hours later it was finished .. i used tamiya white / .light weight body filler /acrylic primer . i worked under heat lamp and a heater blowing hot air
                      as its cold and wet winter over here i did this last night ,

                        all done 3-4x coats of white ..now for some testing after a scuff it up with 600 git wetdry sand paper ..> which makes the hull faster in the water then a polished hull its true
