First run on the Geico a disaster

OK, so my friend and I each purchased rtr boats - me a mystic - love it and he got the Geico. My runs are great except for the battery platform coming off the first time I put the batteries on there and the bouncing-but I will work all that out. He picked up his boat today and it immediately started whining like crazy-it scared all the ducks away in a flash! We took it back to the LHS and had him check it out, the shaft tube would become crazy hot with just short bursts. The motor was not aligned when we first took it out of the box. Even after realigning the motor and shaft and regreasing the shaft it continues to squeal loudly. The LHS called proboat and they were less than helpful! told him to send it back to them and they would evaluate or they
could send out a new hull and he could transfer the stuff over. He is less than happy after dropping over $600 for the boat, batteries and charger! So a new hull is coming but do you experts have any thoughts on this and why it is happing?? We are both new to the hobby and even the LHS could not figure it out???

    thanks alot everyone!!!!

some of the geico boats came with a flex cable reversed. the cables would unwing in the tubes and cause problems.. do you check the rotation of the cable is correct?

RTR boats are never RTR, the motor was most likely not aligned well.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

You can cure this problem buy getting a geico replacement cable . The cause is the stub shaft is way to long . The replacement stub is 2.25 ins. the total cable is the same . Proboat has it so does kintec racing
