    OSE flex cablecable question.

I just installed the updated OSE flex cable and seem to have more play or wobble at the prop than with the stock shaft. I have approx. 3/16 clearence between the strut and the propeller drive dog and also have the nylon washer from the stock shaft in place. I am unsure if this extra flex is normal or do I also need to update the strut bushing for this shaft?

Well I'm sorta in the same dilemma, sort of.I managed to beat the tar out of the bushing and I'm wondering if the hardened prop shaft should be a bit longer to stabilize it.Let me grab some pics.MG strut 001.jpg
I believe the replacement shafts are 2 1/4" and I'm thinking of going with 2 3/4".It could also be from this activity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T755w8fHsjc

Thank you. I was thinking the same thing about switching to a shaft with a longer hardened portion. As it is the shaft loosened the bushing in the strut to the point where it just comes out with the shaft now. Nice vid! I didn't realize how much prop walk there was until its slowed down to see.

Well thats with the boat jumping out of the water too,but it definately shows the change in direction.I'm gonna put the strut in a drill press and drill a larger hole and sleeve it with brass(it'll be harder than aluminum),thenput the bushing in.Just not sure which one.Might go speedmaster style.
