So how long do you think it'll last?! I've been running the stock setup with two 3 cell lipos... It's probably close to aroun 45-50mph, just a guess though. Motor and esc only get up to about 120.. But I've been reading you should run external becs and whatnot?

I really don't care if this stuff blows up cause then I can finally purchase my new esc and motor. But it seems to work flawlessly..?

I really want to order my seaking 180 and the fastest motor I can get... You guys say nothing over 2000kv with 6s? Whys that? I just want my boat to go as fast as I can make it.. I don't care if I can only drive it for a minute! Haha any suggestions?

How close does your boat compare to the speeds in this vid?

This is a MG on 2200KV with 4S.
      Miss Geico CC1515 2200kv T180 2S2S- Twin Genesis with 2 2700kv 2 T180's 4S2P- Stiletto with 2030kv T120 4S1P-DF33 4082 1600kv T180 6S2P- and lots of gassers!

Hard to tell... I'm sure it's not far off.. The first time I drove it, I didn't Velcro the bats down, so they slid all the way back and as soon as I got up to speed, it did a complete backflip and landed rightside up haha

It spanks my buddies stock MG on 4s

Propeller efficiency and motor rpm tolerance is what has us lowering output shaft speeds.
Sure, 2200 on 6S sounds impressive.. but 55k rpm Vs prop efficiency 30-35krpm is just wasted power.
The prop starts to cavitate ( lose drive) when over spun... so plenty of rooster tail, but slower drive.
Leo motors survive best <35k, Neu <50, CC <50k etc
Or you accept the limits, then exceed them

Lots of Genesis threads here from ppl with buckets of experience.. follow their lead, it's your better option.

Cars Vs Boats have different load profiles..what relates to car power setups doesnt always relate to marine where we have greater drag + loads.

This guy has his running silky smooth......................but at a disappointing 88mph

This has to be an example of the best set up Geico yet for big top speed..............

NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=
