    Maiden run:)

    Hi guys,
Today i ran my new miss Geico and WOW what a machine turns on rails and has none of that waaah waaah noise which i was surprised by. Boat ran 35.3mph with the only mod being a Octura x642 batteries were all the way back on the trays and strut was neutral with the sponsons. Batteries were 30c Zippy 2s packs. If I get a chance to run it with a M445 tomorrow I will post my GPS speed results. One of the most impressive things I would say is how stable it was through the turns and down the straights ran completely flat through the turns and turned better than my DF26. The overall build quality of the boat is outstanding for a RTR well done Proboat! I would recommend this boat to anyone.

You had the batteries all the way back by the transome and it ran without the bounce? I have mine up front by the motor and they are half off the tray, but they are supported by styrofoam I added in the bow. I still get bounce. I have been a little afraid to put them all the way back by the transom for fear of the bow popping up and flipping. Maybe I will give it a try this week.

I've heard Cat experts say to move the batts back to eliminate the bounce..............something about it catching air in the tunnel, raising it, then the batt weight pushing it back down...........etc...........etc.............

Our club meets on Tues. and Thurs. so I will give it a try next week. I'll work up to full speed slowly. We have several rescue boats at the meetings in case something goes wrong.

I tried running with the batteries back by the transom, but the front end started floating up. It seemed to be fine at under 33 mph, but at 35 and above the front end started to float up. No wind today, it was very calm. I moved the batteries up front hanging off the battery tray and although I still have bounce I hit 40 mph.

I am running the stock 1500 kv motor and 45 amp esc with a P230 prop. The batteries are 2 cell 7.4v, 5000 50C.

The rudder is also in the standard position last run I tried the batteries even further back and I actually lost speed I know run them with the batteries in line with the end of the tray.
