    Motor Problem

My Miss Geico motor just clicks when the throttle is pressed. If I turn the prop a few times before the throttle is pressed then it will run. Once stopped, I have to again turn the prop a few times. Also, when it is running the speed is dramatically slower than it used to be. Any suggestions here would be great. I checked to make sure nothing is overtight and the shaft is greased (This issue still exists when the shaft is disconnected).

It sounds like the bushing inside the motor may be galled or may have some corrosion on them. Do you run in salt water?

I don't run in salt water but the boat did sit for a few months before I started using it again.

try adding a little bit of oil to the bushing and see if that helps
