    Replacing teflon liner

Hi all i bought a new flex cable and it came with a liner from kintec it was the upgraded shaft, but the line appears to to big to insert into the stuffing tube.
i read somewhere that you squeeze it between your fingers and stretch it to reduce the size until in fits but this does not appear to work well enough to get the liner all the way into the stuffing tube.
am i missing something / what am i doing wrong
im not one that normally uses the liners on my petrol boats as a bit of water inside them does not worry them. but this being electric id rather use a liner.
also has anyone removed the liner all together and inserted another peice of tube to take up the slop and was it successful in stopping water entering the inside of the hull
    look forward to your responses.

I stuck mine in the freezer. Helps a bit but you need to be quick, it warms up pretty quickly (also cools in the freezer within a few minutes). A little WD-40 helps too.

Pulling it between your fingers only stretches a very little & dosnt reduce the od much at all. providing you have enough liner length hold one end in the vice & a pair of grips on the other end & stretch, i stretched mine over 2" longer. Which reduced the od enough for it to go into the stuffing tube with ease.
