Macdon, if you ever decide to sell your hatches, put me on the list! Have you been able to color match the Miss Gieco? I love the turbine and the scoop hatches!

I think the canopy will look better once it is painted in a single color. Anyway, here's some pics of it when mated to the hull.

Yeah I know macdon, It's all I can do to keep up with you guys here. I know it's off subject but today I took my Rustler VXL out. Took out the old motor and replaced it with one of the 4074 motors I used to have in my MG. That gives it over 3 times the power the 70mph stock version had. I also replaced the esc needless to say. The motor doesn't even get warm at 60 so I will be ordering some gears to get it up to 110. Don't know if those Anaconda tires will hold up though. I'll also need to find an airport someone is willing to let me use.

Stephen and I are just around the corner! hahaha
Stephen still has some rc cars/trucks but he's more active in rc boating. As for me, I gave up on rc cars/trucks 22yrs ago.
Well, its the club's xmas party today - so I'll be leaving in a few. Stephen will follow a bit later.

I'll be giving the canopy mockup to my fiberglass worker by tom for final tweaking & cleanup. Hopefully, it will be molded before xmas!

I don't like truck and cars as much as boats but when the closest lake is 10 miles away that's just another way to enjoy the rc hobby when I'm short on time. Yesterday was kind of fun though as I had 2 squad cars stop to watch as I was driving my rc truck. The first one asked me how fast it was to which I replied the way it's set up right now only about 60mph. He thought that was fast so I asked him if he had a radar gun with him and he didn't. We talked a bit about rc thgings and he had to go. About 15 minutes later another squad car showed up and it was another policeman he had told about my truck wanting to see it run. With a smile on his face he let me know that he had brought his radar gun. I felt so bad as my lipo pack had just ran out and I was about to leave. Feeling bad I gave him my cell number so he could call me to see when I'm running it again. He mentioned he would be on duty today and he'd call me if he could. He also told me he had a son who would love something like this. I just love it when by having fun myself I can make someone elses day. Just so no one here feels bad, I did tell both of them that if they really wanted to see something they should see my boats. Rooster tails and all... Don't worry guys, f.e. boats are my first choice when it comes to rc.

I'm a boat guy definately! That's why my handle is tagasagwan. It's the filipino word for rower. I sold all my air rc's. The last one I sold was my 600 size hirobo nitro heli. I still have a couple of rc18's, M03's, TL01's, MT's and a unfinished xray m18t, etc. All collecting dust at the attick. I love boating and building when schedule permits. The most difficult boat build I did I guess is my 1/350scale model converted to rc USS Enterprise aircraft carrier. It took me more than 1 month to finish and I worked on it 6 hours a day minimum. All 4 rudders and 4 props are functional. It's the one on my album.

Thanks Stephen (tagasagwan)for telling me wahat your handle means. I'm kind of like HYDROJERRY I guess. I still love my Rustler VXL and my E-Revo VXL. I'd say the same thing about my 450 3-D heli if I had the time to balance the blades, adjust the tracking, replace main shafts, fine tune the radio settings, learn to fly it and make repairs... You may know where I'm goin here. I learned after spending thousands of dollars on a 450 heli for parts after crashes and an upgraded radio system thinking that would make it easier to get the settings right. All those settings were like greek to me but trucks are simple. Hats off to you guys like you who learn to fly those helis well. What made you decide leave helis to get into boats?
