Miss Geico, no more. Now she's "green with envy" :P

Here she is. I call her "green with envy" because that's what she will leave the competition with since she can blast past 60 withe ease with ether the Castle 3424 1800kv outrunner on 6S, or the Castle 2650kv on 4S. The only difference is practicality and run time but she can run mid 50's all day with the outrunner on 4S and a 48mm prop. Just needs black vinyl for windshield and ducts and an alu. antenna mount.

I originally wanted to go with the "caveman" racing theme but could not get anyone to do the stickers for me, at the time. So I went with metallic pearl green. I really like the color and it will look even better going nearly 60mph.

The interior had been done a while ago but I filled in the ride pads and added a Tiqueman hatch to make it 100%. The hatch will sit complete flat but thickness of the paint and clear makes me have to press it down, which I didn't do during the photo shoot. His hatches are the shizzle though!!

Here is what I ended up with. I was thinking I might put a yellow "Castle", their structure logo, on the deck and some mamba style bolts running along the sides. Haven't completely made up my mind on that, though she will always run a Castle motor.

Took the time to give her some nice pads to run on.

Love it Raf! I havent gotten to your secret paint supply yet , but I will be shooting something that color. Im diggen the castle idea too.

Bevel the bottom side edges of the hatch or sand of some of the bottom of the sides to help it drop. I did 4 coats of yellow and 3 coats of clear and mines flat as can be? And this hatch was actually screwed up which is why I kept it, so no special attention was givin to it. It was a

        And heres my latest project.....

Scott, the problem with my hatch is more because of the thumb screw I installed to be able to pull the cover off. I need to cut the screw if I want to use the inner lid. That's the issue you see in the pictures.

I might have to order one of those lids with the scoops when you finish them.

I go to LA quite a bit and found a store there that carries 4oz bottles of Createx paint for under $5. They usually stock all colors, pearl and iridescent. Let me know when you want to get some and I'll get it for you. 5-6 4oz bottles should fit in a small flat rate box. I bought some really nice pearl purple, pearl white, and metallic silver.

Ahh I gotcha. Sounds good on the paint. Ill have to pick some colors.

I'm not going to offer the hatches complete, but will soon be offering them w/ out the factory geico intakes so it can be a clean smooth look as is like I did pirahnnas or add any scoops you'd like, including the ones I have which will be in two pieces each (halves) to be assembled and then installed.

That's a good option. I would rather have that because the factory scoops are a PITA to sand and clean up around.

Yeah they do take a bit of time. I use upol quick build primer and you can clean them up real quick. I've also done a few now scuffing the canopy area with steel wool. It scuffs awesome and doesn't disturb the details. I tried scotch brights but I didn't feel they scuffed enough.
