I missed blocks post, sorry. Yeah pete didn't ask me to, but the nose tips and tunnel section were reinforced when I carboned it. I got ya pete, don't worry.
Seems every hull is different. A friend of mine clipped a pool noodle bouy and his seam split. I've hit the hard round foam bouys, the kind crab trappers use, cartwheeled it, subbed it even had a sprint cat clip my sponson when I spun out. Chipped paint on mine and tore the last 6 inches of the side out of the sprint cat. Mines not reinforced. But, knowing it could happen, I put in hopefully some preventative reinforcement
Our bouys are like hard soccer balls and I have nailed them more than once and never got more than paint transfer. Finally got a hairline crack about 1/2 long when I tumbled the boat hitting full throttle running a Castle 2650kv motor. The hulls can take quite a beating, unless you hit an immovable object.
They tend to split right across the nose where the hull is joined to the house. In the cases that I'm aware of (including mine) the batteries came lose as well. So, the damage could have been caused by the batteries slamming fwd. Highly recommend securing you batteries with proper straps, not just velcro. I cut notches in my battery trays for them.
Both my hulls formed cracks where blockhart is mentioning. On the first one was from a water splat. The second one just started doing it one day without hitting anything. I caught it b4 it got worse and fixed it.

Here are some updated pictures of the MG Tiqueman Edition, AKA Miss Kirsten. Scott named the boat after my new baby girl. I'm extremely pleased and impressed with the results. Thank you Scott!!
