    Saltwater???

    I'm taking a family vacation down to the florida keys. I'm taking miss geico and the spartar. Any advice on how to protect the boats from salt water?

      Spray all hardawre down afterwards with fresh water then some wd40,flush any cooling lines with fresh water also.

        Yup, id even spray it all before you even run it just to get a barrier. I've run gassers in salt for more than 15 years. Have never had to replace anything engine or wxhaust wise due to corrosion. Just rinse it asap after running and spray it immediately. Leave the hatch off and pull, wipe the shaft, spray it with wd or 656 and let it sit in the hull. Don't reinstall it until you're ready to run again. Be sure to blast the stuffing tube out from the inside out as well.

          I take mine down to San Diego all the time. I love running out on the bay. Good tape job and a good rinse takes care of everything.
