    Am I missing anything?

Hey guys, just ordered my first boat (Miss Geico) after getting out of crawling.

Here's a list of parts I have also bought. Is there anything else you'd suggest? Tips/tricks with this hull?
    SeaKing 180A ESC
    SeaKing programming card
    Castle BEC
    x642 prop S&B
    8mm bullet connectors
    10awg wire
    Marine grease
Nano Tech 2s 5000mah 45/90c (run in series)

I have been into crawlers forever and was into 50mph short course trucks for about a year. My goal with this boat (being my first) is to be pretty reliable and run low to mid 40's. Let me know how this set up sounds and please let me know if there is ANYTHING I may need.

    Thanks!

Am I going to need an upgraded flex cable? If so, what do you recommend?

Id just run what you have selected. It sounds like a good setup. See if the flex is holding up. Ose sells upgraded ones that also have a shorter stub on the end. This helps with a slight binding issue the stock ones sometimes have with the back of the strut as it joins the stuffing tube.

You may want a offset rudder bracket mount too.

        Thanks for the info!

I will not be racing this boat, from my understanding the offset rudder just helps in racing because it allows better turning but only in one direction?
If I do need one, which would you suggest?

Thanks again for the help and sorry for the newb questions.

Is the bracket all I need? Just bolts in place of the old in line one?

                Thanks again!

I wish I could offer some advice, but I'm just learning here myself.

                    Based on this post:

2nd water pickup was able to be raised about 1/2 from first mounting condition and still works well with less drag.

Going to try the castle 1518 motor next.
and a search I'd bet he is using this offset rudder bracket.

Yes it's a kintec offset rudder. You can find them at KintecRacing.com. It's a bolt on deal and easy to do.

And lately I've been running the strut down level with bottom of sponsons. Also the angle is level with them. Seems to work ok there. COG between 8.5 to 9" from back of the sponsons not the overhang transom where the running gear mounts.

Great! Thanks alot JPriami and PapaGriz, I really appreciate the help. I think I'll run the boat for a little while with the in-line (just so I can personally feel/see the difference) then get the Kintech offset.

The best part of the offset rudder is that it makes maintenance easier. After putting it in I find myself actually greasing the flexshaft where as before when I had to work around or remove the rudder it rarely happened.
