    5.5mm covers ?

    Just switched everything to OSE 5.5mm connectors
    what are you guys doing to keep the ends from shorting together when Storing batteries

    do they make plastic plugs or what

    I just use a plastic valve stem cap off some old car tires we had around
    With the shrink wrap on the 5.5 female end made them the right size to twist on

      Thank you great idea works fantastic and didnt have to order anything just went to the mall and they were all over the parking lot

            I picked up some from mcmaster also. I got the vinyl caps with the pull tabs. They are a tight fit, but having something to grab to remove them is nice.

              when i was at the nats i saw someone we all know with a 99 cent pack of pencil errasers..(from wally world) .they fit perfect over the 5.5's and come about 20 to a pack

                I have never had a 5.5 connector short out. Even using stainless steel tables as work benches. I just leave the heat shrink on the positive lead, female connector, a bit longer than necessary. No sparks yet.

                    I use heatshrink, put a 1/2" over the connector, with a 1/4" sticking out, add heat, squeeze the part that is sticking out (with caution since it's hot) and you're done...
