Stock MG ESC intermittently losing its lipo program and lipo puff

Has anyone had a stock proboat ESC intermittently lose its programming? I did and it made my best lipos puff. There Orion Carbon 7.4v 45c hardcase batteries. One puffed a bit and the other actually split the case at its seam. The swelling went down on both batteries overnight and they are at 7.8v.

Ive read many places that u can and cannot re use puffed batteries. I would like to use em again seeing i paid retail for em like a dope... Any ideas??

If not I may purchase some GENS Aces batteries...

    Thanks

Out of curiosity, how do you know it lost its programming? 2S packs? What prop? My 40-50C 2S packs in series for 4S will puff in mine, 4S2P solved the problem. Did you temp the batteries when they came out? One last thing, are you running till the LVC kicks in or do you time your runs?

I have the LVC on and set at high. The hardest i ever ran the boat, the batteys were warm, not pufed tho. I have a X642 sb and yes they are hardcase orion carbon 2s batts. The case actually split open on the seam, but now I have tape on the case and its closed to normal size. The batts were not even warm. I knew it lost programming by the amount of initial beeps that it made. It barely made 30 mph from the looks of it. Thats a guess, no gps. Im not sure to run the batts again but made a 50% charge on it and all seemed well. Ideas?
