Problems setting my esc with the PRB3311

Hi everybody! I'm new here and I'm looking for guidance. Irecently got the MG for fathers day and I was running it with the 7.4V 2S 25C 5300mah from Dynamite and the I decided to buy the programming module card from Proboat.
When I went to connect it I did all the steps on the instructions; I plugged it in and the turn on the Esc and heard the beep, then when testing I just get the steering but not response from the throttle. Ater the test I checked the batteries for voltage and one of them was full and the other 1/2 way. Does that have something to do with it?

    Now the questions:
Do I need to have the TX on?
Do I need to plug the servo ESC lead back to the RX with out turning the ESC off?
CAn somebody give me like the right steps in order?

Another thing; The motor is supposed to spin freely or it will give you a little resistance if turned by hand?

Thank to Everybody! Have a great Day!

Welcome Bebuco,,lots of questions there,, ill try to help,,after doing your programing hook everything back up,,,
First turn on the receiver , then connect batts, then turn on the boats power switch then you will hear the beeps,, then pull the triger so the motor registers it( if you rcontroller throttle gain nob is not set it wont work) then you should be ready to run,,,,,,

Thanks for your quick response! this is what I tried step by step:
1.my TX was off, then I disconnected the esc lead from the RX and hook the card to it.(batteries where connected)
      2. I turned on the switch and heard the beep.
      3. I turned the rx back off and then on the TX and then the boat, that was when I did not hear the beeping sounds from the boat and ended up just with steering.

Second time I tried it, I did it with the TX on all the time and plugging the esc lead to the rx without turning off the esc. Same results.

Do I have to disconnect the batteries? Does that will reset the settings?

Sorry about my ignorance, I just frustrated that I cant get it to run the way I want, and I dont want my new Miss Geico turning into a ball of flames in my backyard lagoon.

      Thanks again HYDROJERRY!

Hey bebuco. If I remember correctly, yes, you have to disconnect the batteries after you program. Shut it down, turn it off and I think wait 5 seconds. Then re-connect the throttle and you should be good to go.

        Where are you in FL?

The motor will have resistance, it will kinda feel "notchy" if you will... I cant think of the word Im looking for.

Check the obvious as well. make sure your servo lead is plugged into the correct port and plugged in w/ the correct polarity.

i have noticed that if my tx throttle gain is not set about wright mine will not have any throttle,,,you will want to set it at its lowest point with everything hooked up and then turn the nob up while trying to use the throttle on the trigger till the motor starts to run then your there!!! If you dont have the motor hooked to the shaft you should feel a very slight drag turning the prop buy hand and if you have the motor connected it should turn hard like it has a compression stroke hard for half turn then jumps over,, something like that i gess!!!!
PS DONT TRY TO TURN THE PROP WITH THE POWER ON,,, if the motor runs with the prop on it will eat your hand up!!!!!
