4074 cut to fit???

Hi Just got my sea king 180 and leopard 4074, ( thanks OSEhttp://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=ose-2000-combo )
I thought I read a thread about having to cut the end of the motor shaft to fit in my MG, or can i just install it as is?
Any and all help/threads/links would be much appreciated.

You can install it as is, just make sure the motor wires are facing down or off to the side or they'll be in the way of the brown inner cover.

thats alot of motor for a light cat like the geigo......u might want to reenforce the hull for those 55 mph blowovers......
