Brand New Geico, throttle not working???

I have a brand new Geico boat and reeady to run it for the first time. I bought the progrmmer right away to run lipo, so that is the first thing I did. The I proceeded in the bind procedure with the receiver and transmitter. The steering works, but no throttle whatsoever. Am I doing something wrong or is my new boat a dud!

i notice on my Genesis that the adjustment on my controller has to be in the wright spot(throttle gain) or my esc wont read and set,,,no throttle.. Try moving the throttle gain on the controller then try to set the throttle again,,and on my Geico kind of the same thing i can turn it on but no motor beeps or anything but if i turn the controllers throttle gain slowwly then the esc will all of the suddin read and the motor will do its beeps!!!!
