    Different volts left after run

I ran my MG today completely stock with kintec offset and two 2s 5200mah 30c batts (usually last 5-6min) and she only lasted about 2 minutes until the LVC kicked in?

When i checked em on the charger one was at 3.9v per cell and the other was about 3.2v? Every single other run Ive had with this boat both batts came in at 3.4-3.5...

    Any Ideas?

Are those the black Turnigy hardcase batteries by any chance? I have some of those and they are not the best, I don't think they are really 30C.

Try running 4S2P if you can and see what happens.

I had the same pack's, black hardcase. Sold them after 2 runs in my Surge Crusher, not up for the job in boat's.

If you have 4 of them you should be able to run in a 4S2P config, otherwise sell them and buy 40C packs. Also don't buy hardcase for boats, I did the same mistake initially because I didn't know, but hardcase are useless for us, they are good only for cars.

I'm actually going to remove the hardcase from mine and run them in parallel configs only, they are probably 20C in reality, so 2 of them should make a ~35C.

Keep in mind that if you abuse them they might catch fire and take your boat down with them, or worse!

Ha great.. well so far theyve been good for me. Ive had about 10 runs on em but Ill definitely will be more careful now

Ill also definitely pick up some different packs as soon as possible.

I would test nano's If I were you.
some don't like them cheap china lipos, but I have had nothing but good experince with them. I have a good charger so that may be the case that they always come out good in ballance and non of them have puffed ore 'lost'a cell.

              Look here:

              first run is with team orion rocket pack 2x 2s 5000 mah. @ 0,45 I switch to 2x 2s 4000mah nano lipos .

I havent had a single problem with the hard case tunigys yet except just yesterday with different volts at the end of the run. Every time they balance fine and run fine..

I got them last year in June, I ran them all summer without problems in my Surge Crusher and Stiletto, this year they are starting to puff more and more when I use them in higher amps setups (120A), they are still fine after running them in the Stiletto (60A-80A).

They might work good now, but from what you are telling us they might be underpowered for your setup, which means you're stressing them and are wearing out faster.

I guess what I'm saying is: just be careful with Lipo batteries, people lost their cars and houses to lipo fires.

So I took her out today with full batts and i did one pass then the motor stopped I could still use the rudder but no power from the motor, none at all. I thought the LVC kicked in and i figured my batts (fully charged) were ruined

Got home checked the batteries and everything was a-ok

Didnt know what to do so I unplugged my recently added 5.5mm bullets on the motor wires and re-plugged them just to make sure.. and it worked.. ...

                    any ideas?

                      Cold soldering?

I would re-do the soldering just to be sure.

If the problem consists i definitely will.. but for now ill take my chances

P.S. what do u mean by cold soldering?

                            From wikipedia:

'If all metal surfaces are not properly fluxed and brought above the melting temperature of the solder in use, the result will be an unreliable "cold solder joint".'

To solder 5.5mm bullets you need at least an 80W+ soldering iron, apply the heat to the surface to solder, not the solder itself, search youtube for videos, it will help.

Soldering is a pain in the ...

I hate it... with a passion.... maybe even more than losing props in the pond.

Not at all. I've been using a 40W Weller with a 1/4" wedge tip for all my soldering for 20 years with great results. No downside to an 80W, but it is overkill for bullets, even 8mm ones. Technique is more important that excess heat.
