    separate cooling lines

    Hello

I got my MG in about a week ago and took out this past weekend and all I can
say is GREAT boat, I'm running it stock with 2- 2s 5000, 30c batteries and got about 15 mins run time great fun. Now to my question I want to run separate
cooling lines to my motor and esc but don't know the best way to do it. Thought
about using a (y) connector but don't know if the one pickup on the rudder is enough. Any input would be welcome and Thanks in advance

I've installed two in-hull pick-ups and have plugged the rudder pick-up. I haven't run it yet as I'm painting the boat. I expect it will work fine and it give a cleaner appearance.

Best stay away from the y connector... splitting the flow does more harm than good. Best bet is to install a separate cooling pickup. However, if you're keeping it relatively stock you don't really need the separate cooling lines, I've been doing temperature readings and youre perfectly fine with the stock cooling

        separate cooling lines

        hello

Thanks for the info, I am planning on upgrading to a metal prop and maybe
later a different esc but thats about it. Any suggestions on a prop for a completelly
stock MG and Thanks again for info.

I would try X642 prop on stock motor and ESC, that is about all you can and should do to stock.

          Check your running time again...
15 min of running time sounds out of wack to me.....
          I have MS Geico and on 2 2S 5800mAh LiPo's I will get arround 4-6 minutes tops!!!

I run my MG with stock cooling. Stock motor with the T180 esc and a prather 215.
            with the 5s (one 2s+one 3s) 4000 pack I get 4 min , with almost wot all the time.(they come in at 3,6 v)
The only thing that's warm (read hot) are the bullets from the motor to the esc (5,5mm)
so I quess the stock cooling holds up pritty good.

the prather 215 prop is about the same as the stock plastic but it made great difference to my boat(I had it from the Surge Crusher)I have a prather 230 on the way as we speak, but that would probably be to hard on the stock esc.

I've been using the Grim Racer 42 x 55 Prop. Added 5mph overall speed for my boat & nothing is running any warmer under a stock set up.

Hmm yeah maybe I were lucky! :) appears you can put it in the basket anyway. Maybe I get it in a second shipment. The web page doesn't have a live stock update feature..
