    2 Props in 2 days

So I took my MG to the lake this weekend and thought it was ganna be a blast. Never expected this...

I broke two plastic stock Miss geico props (same as the prather 215 ive heard) in 2 days. I never actually saw them hit anything and i never hit ground or.. anything! But somehow I managed to break 2 of them in 2 days.

The first time i ran it was a little choppy and she was jumpin a bit but then i brought her in cause she was runnin pretty slow and both blades were chopped in half. Second run was perfect! very fast, smooth, and no broken prop. Third run it broke about a minute in.. and it was only one blade? Only possible explanation would b a stick or something? I have no idea..

you may not have hit anything the stock props leave alot to be desired I broke mine the first time out first battery pack. You might think about a grim racer prop thats what I got and it works awesome.

Yeah the prather 215 is the same as stock. I was planning on using the x642, but ive heard good things about the m445. Darin said somewhere that the prather 230 gave a lot of extra speed (low to mid 40's) for stock but it pulls about a 70a constant so it would be dangerous on the stock esc. Ill get around to testing all of these.

Just was stumped by how I broke a prop, then ran fine, then broke another (and that was just one blade not both?!)

If you want I can detongue the x642 - should be a bit better than an M445. It will only add $5.00 to the price. I just got a few in today.

nos, the stock plastic props at high speeds will unload and load, literally flexing during the run. Unless it is a really thick plastic prop it was bound to break sooner or later, I've never run my MG on a plastic prop... the x642 is almost the exact same prop and won't flex a bit.

Prather 230 works great but you will need to change the strat adjustment since it will not fit under without lowering the strut a little.

Chuck is Mr B.A. (Bad A$$) and I highly recommend him for props, but go M445.. way better on this boat than the 642. I ran a detongued and cupped 642 and the stock M445 still ran better... and now that I tweaked it a bit...
