    MG left fron damage

Hi all. I went out today and ran the boat using the X642 prop on 2 2s 45c carbon batteries. The boat flew on the morning flat water with minor ripples. I got some killer speed. Not sure what speed due to the GPS getting soaked. I was at WOT and the boat jumped and went under the water but came rite up. Once i got it back in, I noticed the left front sponson? lol im not 100% on the terms yet, and it has a 2 inch crack in it. Im going to repair it using Lord Fusor fiberglass adhesive and bond it back, but many people are filling the bows with differnt types of foam. What is the best foam product and is this necessary to keep it from happening again? Im not hip on great stuff...Im also a painter and was looking into a nice paint scheme, seeing im gonna have to repaint it now, but not too difficult. Any ideas with a picture are greatly appreciated! Also any tips or tricks for repairing this would be apprecited!

    Thanks in Advance!

Got the hull stripped down and will have the repairs made tomorrow. Ive done some research and not finding a good answer about what type of foam to fill the bow with? Im thinking some kinds may over expand and deform the hull completely. Please help!!

Here is the foam I use. Use the 2lb density. A little goes a long way so apply in small batches. It will add some strength to the hull. I've had a barely noticeable wave on the top deck on my mono's but never on the bottom of the hull.

Wholesale/retail sales of composite and fiberglass materials, including epoxy, adhesives, carbon fibers, urethane foam, urethane casting rubbers

Do not use the foam in a can from Lowes or HD! I've read it can continue to expand after curing and blow the seam on a hull.

So I was able to repair the crack on the seam, although once i took the paint off the hole was much larger than expected. Ive got it back in shape and figured that i have to paint it completely now, might as well blueprint the bottom.

put some pole noodle it the front, it comes out easy if you need to gain the front access

Thought Id give an update... Painted the boat last week and trying to decide what decals if any should be applied. Ghosted in stripes on the side, although it was just a increase of metal in the mid coat. Its hard to see them in the picture...

And i did the noodle in the front. Bought some of the foam mentioned above too, and didnt want to distort the hull..

                    Thanks all for the help!!

                          Thanks!

I used Akzo Nobel/Sikkens Basecoat and Clear Coat

The color is Red Candy, Tri Coat, then added some glass which made the color POP more! Then added more glass to ghost the sides..

That is a gorgeous paint job! If you start painting on the side please let us know...I may blueprint my hull then. Painting mine is the only thing holding me back from blueprinting my hull at this point.
