    Kintec Flex and teflon

I ordered the kintec flex cable as a replacement for my stock one which was fraying and I noticed that the stub on the kintec flex is MUCH shorter. Almost an inch. It almost seems like it might be too short to span the gap between the two bushings in the strut. Any feedback from others using this flex?

Also, it came with a new teflon liner but the outer diameter was too big to fit in the stuffing tube. Am I good to just re-use the stock liner? Or does it need a new, longer liner to accommodate the shorter stub?

    Thanks

there is enough bearing area in the stock strut for a shorter stub, make sure the new stub turns freely in the bearings though, i found in my Geico the NEW stock bushings were to tight for a standard 3/16 stub but spun free with the stock stub, there was a couple thousands difference between a standard stub that a stock one, as far as your teflon liner Ill let someone else answer that I dont use them BUT will say the proboat stuffing tube is an odd ball size both inner and outer diameter from what is standard here in the USA..

      Kintec tube

I had chock the new liner up in a 1/4 hand drill and use silicon spray to get it into the stock tube, but say what you will it works good with the stock setup and nimh batteries it ran 42 today with my phone strapped in it, (risky). Running a 220 prop with the new shaft, waiting for the new bushing. Everything about this boat was almost there it just seems to need tweeking and balance I look forward to the offset rudder.....But then balance will start all over again.
