Do you really need the programming card?

Just bought my boat but the shop did not have the programing card in stock. Just wondering if I can still run it on lipo's before I get the programming card next week?

The manual does not really say not to? Just wondering if I risk damaging the esc or if all I'm really loosing is the lipo cut off?

you could BUT you would have to time your runs.with the card you can adjust timing, battery type, cutoff voltage, cutoff type, brake and throttle curve

The short answer is you need the card. It is not that costly and you need it to program the boat correctly for lipos.

I already have it ordered, but thanks. Was just wondering about running it before I get the card next week?

I get it will help to have it, just not clear if it will damage it if I run it on lipo's as is or just suck it up and wait a week :)
