    Miss Geico Run today

Alright folks, got my miss geico out today... windy as hell so I couldn't really keep her up... I started to play with the strut and stuff but the wind took her once and I called it quits.

I put in a t180 and a CC 1800kv outrunner, 5.5 bullets all around with upgraded tubing. She looked great on the water... I got up to about 70% throttle and she started to skim the saves and on each wave she hit you could tell it wanted to take off... just way to rough today unfortunately. I hit 32.9 mph in rough water without really staying on plane... my goal is 40 with this 4s setup, I'm going to rework the m445 and play with the strut but this looks like a solid setup. I got the t180 in front of the motor... temps were cool so I'm not to worried, plus the bigger tubing really seems to introduce more water into the block.

you should hit 40 no problem, wait for some calmer water and you'll be good to go.

Ok so I took her out today.. put her in the water... she shot off and flipped within 4 seconds. Good news is that it hit 35 mph... without being completely flat on plane. Again, I see no reason why she won't hit 40 mph when I get her settled in. Bad news is, again she flipped... I'm going to prop down to an x642 until I can figure this out. On that note.. when it was sitting in the water upside down, the engine was running uncontrollably. This is the second time this happened... it happened the first time when I initially installed the t180. How do I fix this? I don't want to have a boat shoot off on its own in the middle of my lake. Thank the lord it was upside down when it did this but how do I fix this problem... I can't figure out whats wrong with it, the esc seems fine

Sounds like when you flip upside down that you are loosing the signal to your transmitter.

You need to set the fail safe to neutral. My boat did the same because I forgot to set it. That's all it is plain and simple.

So larry how do I do that? Like ron said? Hold the controller on full throttle then let it off after the beeps on the t180?

Like Ron said, but make sure throttle goes to neutral. You might have to play with the trim a bit to get it set. To test it, just turn off the TX and leave the boat plugged in. It shouldn't do anything.

Only once. Now set the fail safe and test now that you verified what's happening.

Ok larry and ron thanks a ton for your help... larry you were right... thing is a bugger, best I could do was when it loses the radio signal the motor gets those small "clicking" noises but thats it... it's locked in neutral which is what I want. Thing was a pain in the ass... really is sensitive to the throttle adjustment.

Larry go take your car out today its beautiful here up in CT
