    how much gap

    can someone tell me how much gap should be between white washer and the collet that holds the prop
    washed up factory racers edge driver.. past LHS owner now im back to the hobby I love

    About 1/8-1/4 between the stuffing tube and strut which is what I think your talking about

        if u mean between the white washer and the drive dog its around 1mm

          That's what proboat reccomends but its not enough for the flex shaft to flex. Should be the size of the flex shaft for space.

            yes the white washer and the drive dog 1mm and 1/8 is quite a difference is this something everyone runs different

              hold the motor collet still with a wrench, turn the prop a little and you will see it compress, make sure your gap is enough to handle that compression. I'd go closer to an 8th inch.
