Miss Geico replacement collet

The collet on my new MG had a set screw that was seized in the hole. So instead of trying to repair it, I just cut the collet off and ordered a 5mm to .150 collet from Kintec (who has been very helpful) the collet they sent is the right size 5mm motor to .150 but is sooooo big it uses a 9/16 open end wrench and will not even clear the motor mount. So I ordered one from Horizon for MG. Am I missing something or is there a quality collet I can get for MG instead of the little 2 pc. collet for 28 bucks. Kintec said they've never seen one that small.

The first thing I do on all my ProBoat boats is replace the stock compression coupler with one of the Octura 5mm x .150" couplers.... Either this one:

i swapped my black jack one after a few heated flex shafts never seem to get tight enough octura all the way....

Want to know the trick to get the grub screw out of the stock collet? Heat it up it's glued in. So are the rudder grub screws. I took a lighter and held the collet over the flame to heat it up. Came right out no problem.

Thanks Tim, the stock one just seems really poor quality. It looks like Octura is the answer. Hope to have some pics and vids soon.

I know they glue'em in but that wasn't the problem. The hole wasn't tapped all the way through so when they tightened it and glued it. it jammed in the bottom of the hole and went through just enough so I couldn't slide it off the motor shaft.
So I got the dremel out and cut it off. That's how I found out what was wrong.
Just poor QC. No big deal I've got new ones on the way from OSE. Was actually stumped at first and a little embarrased, I've been a machinist for 40 yrs. The screw is tight but the collet slides?

Darin, I think the last one of your possible choices is what I bought that doesn't fit at all. the wrench size is about 14 or 15mm and won't even clear the bottom of the motor mount, so it can't turn.
