    Miss Geico parallel wired

I want to get a longer run time for my boat. If I wire two 4s 5000 mah in parallel to boost the amps will I get a longer run time? Will the stock motor and esc handle the current?

Thanks for feedback from a newbie.

I get 10 minutes with 5000mah 20C packs and a Castle 1800kv outrunner(2650 shown in pictures) with a 42x55 prop. You should get a bit more run time with the stock motor. The batteries will barely fit. I completely rebuilt mine to make the battery installation and removal a breeze.

What kind of speeds do you get out of this set up & do your packs come back hot? I've been thinking about moving to this exact set up.

Packs stay cool. What was getting hot were the caps but since adding 3 more everything runs good. Only thing is that even with 10,000mah I only get 7-8 minutes of run time. It's definitely power hungry.

Where can I learn about adding caps to the esc?

              Thanks, Ed

Search the "general questions" forum. There are plenty of threads on several ways of doing it. I don't have a link on hand, but I made a post about how I added mine. Maybe you can search my past posts to find it.
