    8.4 volt nimh batts help

    hi all just got new mg, was wandering if i can use 8.4 volt nimh batts in her, i have 2 8.4 volt 5100 dynamite batts and 7.4 volt 5400 lipos 20c,30c burst,i dont have programer yet,but was wandering if the 8.4 volt will hurt till i get programer,and will the 7.4 volt 5400 2 s, 20c will be ok also, i use them in my slash.any help will be apriciated, thanks in advance. cant wait to try her,ice almost gone here.

    Yes you can run the 8.4 volt nimh, but dis-able the bec before you do and run a rx pack.

      Diesel which wire is the bec wire??? I see a lot of people saying to disable it but nobody has said which one it is? Even though my esc doesn't have a bec its nice to know for future thanks for the help

        It's the red wire on the lead that plugs into the the rx. Use a small flat jewelers screwdriver to lift up the lock tap on the esc's rx lead and slide the red wire out. Some guys actually cut the wire, don't cut it that's just lazy. Take the extra 10 seconds and pull it out, that way if you ever want to use the bec again all you have to do is slide it back in and press the lock tab down.

          thanks about the batts, but what is bec, what does it do,what is rx pack. im very noob to this, first rc electric boat .thanks in advance,
