Ok I've been tossing up about 20 differnt boats and have narrowed it down to either the mg or the bj. I definetly want a cat and I'm really leaning toward the mg. Which is faster out of the box? I've already ordered 2 2s 5000mah 40c lipos and have the money just can't decide. My friend is pushing me to buy a spartan but I want something different. Please chime in id love to hear everyones opinion thanks

Miss Geico without a doubt. I have both, and the MG handles soooo much better than the BJ. Look at the myriad of threads regarding the BJ handling woes and how to make it better. The MG handles great right out of the box. I did the Kintec 2 rudder offset mod without running it stock due to the "wah wah" problem most have noted, but lots have run it stock and gotten it to work OK. Keep in mid the MG was designed by a racer on this board ( Darin), the BJ, well who knows. Prop upgrade is the 1st thing regardless of the rudder issue. Octura X642, m445 and Grim 42x55 seem to be the most popular. Increased speed seems to make the "wah wah" go away. -

I was in your same situation about three weeks ago and I even had a spartan on order but.... After a ton of research and some good advise from the guys here at ose I canceled my order on the spartan and bought a miss geico. I love this cat. it is reliable.... (unlike all of the horrible rumors I've heard about the spartan) this is my first FE boat and It has been a total blast. I took her out today and hit a solid 40+MPH on 4s with a M445 prop. In my opinion it is the best all around RTR cat that is on the market right now!!!! I will suggest changing all of the connectors to 5.5 bullets and X642 prop. Good luck and have fun!!Comment
