Dog gap is fine, CG checked and give full throttle...
Is correct to give a small angle to the prop side in order to raise the front part of the hull?

Did you change your stuffing tube or just cut it back??? I cut mine back and installed a 40mm leopard motor mount in mine which I love. You definetly have plenty of room in yours. I was hitting mid 40's with a x642 and a leopard 4074 2200kv on 4s and my best was with a cc 1512 1800kv I hit 55.3mph with an m445 on 6s you should definetly be a lot faster with your set up. Make sure you have enough space between the strut and the stuffing tube about 1/8-1/4 works best for me and are not binding good idea with the second pick up I did the same and get great flow

I have run my MG three times with difference props x642, x440, x440/3, prestwitch 443 and difference strut heights. Finally she is running well (not so wet as the first time) but she needs a motor with more torque. I will make some changes to the motor mount if the neu 1518 will not fit.
I am sure that next time with the new motor i will see speeds close to 50s on 4s and 60s on 5s...

I contemplated nothing my strut support bracket like that but instead I just drop the strut to clear bigger props. Works great and the boat performs consistently every time.

            Boat looks great though!

Today was the first time running with offset ruder. The difference was amazing...

you really don't need more power, 2350 on 4s is starting to cross the line just a bit, i wouldn't go more then 2200 kv, with a 4074 2200 kv on 4s in the geico, if you aren't hitting the 50 mph mark something is wrong with your set up not the motor. I'm getting 47+ out of a 60 dollar ul1 spec motor. What are your temps like?

I definitely would not put a 3000 kv motor in and expect to go faster, you'll most likely just melt stuff.

you are propping kinda small. x440, and x440/3 are both pretty small for that motor in this hull. The x642 has more pitch then the m445 i'm running so in theory it should be faster.

                Where are your batteries at?

you should easily be faster then this. ^^.

those batteries you have may not be enough for the amp draw, do you have a watt meter?

Just watched your last vid. looked pretty good, about as fast as you can expect with the chop

I got 63.4mph out of a $60 tacon motor so price means nothing imo. To date that is my fastest speed but my worst run times and after awhile I'm sure something would fry especially on 6s not to mention I'm sure I was getting plenty of prop slip. The ul-1 motor is a great motor for the money but I do agree that if your not hitting around 50 then there is something wrong with the setup. I ran a 4074 2200kv on 4s with a x642 and got mid to high 40's changed to an m445 and was noticalby faster no gps but was definetly faster. M440 is just to small of a prop every motor I used ith that prop I got my slowest speeds. I never used anything over a 2200kv s I'm not sure how well a higher kv would work. An x642 is a great all around prop and was the prop I used with my tacon motor

The1518 will fit but not sure if the tupperware lid will fit anymore. You woul also have to make a support bracket for the rear of the motor or you can do what I did and just change the motor mount and now both lids fit no problem. I use a cc 1518 1800kv in my mg and out of the 5 or 6 motors I've tested it is by far my favorite. I likes it so much I bought one for my genesis build. Plenty of torque lots of rpms and great run times. Only 62.1mph so far but haven't had a chance to play with it since that day. It has plenty of potential.

@TheShaughnessy: the problem was the ruder behind the prop...on 5s and X440/3 and 642 the speeds was 35-37mph, the cavitation with x440/3 was very obvious. But now with offset ruder the boat behaves like a deep-v in the corners and the speed on 5s and x642 was 47mph. The most important thing for me was that when i put again the x440/3 on 4s the boat was flying without cavitation. The difference was huge. I believe that if i make some strut adjustments 50-55mph with the same motor (neu 1415) will be easy now. Also i want to try some 4s2p 45-90c nanotech next time. Can you imagine what this thing can do if i put the 1518 2340kv?

@ron1950: my personal goal is 60-63 mph on 5s.
