    Got a Miss G today

Well after lots of research I decided on a Miss G today for my first FE
I have to wait for a few months for some open water around here(Im in Alberta,Canada)

    I have a few questions:

What batteries would you recommend or should a person just stay with the size the manufacture recommends or can you push it a bit (I dont want to burn up any speed controls)

Also it seems to have come with a cheap plastic prop what would be the best replacement (For a little extra jam)

And do you have to get a module for the speed control to run LiPos?

    Thanks

    Batts: http://hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=16194
    Props: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...dh-SB-aqub9725 or http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...rod=octsb-x642
If you do the connectors upgrade to 5.5 you can run this http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...rod=octsb-m445
Connectors: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=ose-55bullet (3 pairs for motor to esc connection)
    Connetors: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...d=dh-EFLAEC503
    Card: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...rb3311&cat=136

Be sure to use a Programming Module
(PRB3311) to adjust the cutoff voltage when
using Li-Po batteries to protect against overdischarging
    the batteries.
*Yes you can run your boat with programming the esc to lipo mode, but by doing this you risk over-discharging your lipos. Lipo's should NEVER be fully dis-charged doing so will damage them! With that being said, get the card! $20 for a card to protect your batts. Plus you can turn your motor timing up for a extra bump in power.

Check the direction. Only the first batch had the reversed cables. (which actually worked out nice for me because i used the reversed cable and the replacment cable on a twin...)

It would also matter where you got it from. If you bought it from OSE or HH it should be correct, if you got it from another place who knows it could be a first batch they had laying around for a while...

I bought mine in late November and it has the reverse cable in it. I still have to contact Horizon to het a new one.

As others jar mentioned, you will love the boat. It's awesome!

I think it needs a Leopard 4082 1500kv motor in it!

Im telling you right now dude..I dont care if you do a 10 second run..Tape the hatch down..I lost mine last week and they wont be in stock for a little while..Mid march or later...I flipped mine on 4s on some of the first runs going too fast and turning...Last week mine blew over on 5s and I lost my canopy and Tupperware lid and filled my boat...Luckily I coated everything electric with liquid electrical tape and everything survived!
Be sure to have a retrieval device when you go out...

                        Um, I think it needs a 1512 2650 on 4S 2P. But I may be biased

Ray's got my the motor I was running in my MG. I finally said the hell with it and I am sticking the CC1800 outrunner in it with a seaking 120. I am still gonna make a sport boat out of it, but I just LOVE the sound of outrunners. I also did the kintec verison 2 mod. I got the bounce out with the PB1800 and a grim 40x52/3 and the strut dropped, I just finally got sick of removing the rudder to lube the shaft lol. Working to get the bounce out never bothered me, but removing the rudder everytime for some reason got annoying lol...

Diesel, what I did was remove the lower strut bolt and use a zip tie instead, as a break away. So when its time to lube the drive I just cut the zip tie and pull the rudder up. Takes 2 seconds! The the drive cable slides right out.

You'll love that outrunner. The 2650 in mine is just for fun. I will mostly run the 3424 now knowing that it can sling a x446 like nothing. It's like running 5S without the extra weight. Man, those outrunners make awesome torque.

Oh BTW, the stock ESC will run the Castle outrunner without breaking a sweat. I just like the T180 cause it seems to have more punch. and more adjust ability. But in a pinch the PB ESC will do!
