    Best Prop for MG?

Hey guys, got my Miss Geico Sunday, and got it programmed today for lipos, etc. I was already thinking ahead, as to what the best upgrade prop is for this boat running on all stock electronics. Looking for a better performing prop overall, not just speed or acceleration. Thanks everyone!

Octura - check out OSE home page under propellers

        Highfly
You can buy a raw prop and have it blueprinted= Sharpened, balanced, polished, and detoughed or buy it all ready done. There is a gentleman who does this work listed on the "Unique Products and Services by OSE Members" of the fourm. Chuch does good work and may have this prop in stock.

Steve shows he is out of stock on the blueprinted props, but he gets them in regularly, you can select "watch" and he will let you know when the item arrives. Or you can buy a raw prop from Steve and have drop shipped to Chuck, he does his magic to the raw prop, then ships the completed prop to you.

Product ID: octsb-x642 Octura x642 Sharpened & Balanced
        In Stock: 0 Details
        Diameter: 1.65"
        Total Pitch: 1.6x1.65=2.640"
        Shaft Size: 3/16"
        Price: $36.99

It will be about the same price either way.

Octura x642.Iuse one on my MG and its a great prop..Also a 42x55 by grimracer is a great one too...Be sure to get the balanced and sharpened one..If you buy a raw prop they will need at least balanced before you use them..

Alright. I'll look into it. I think I'll run the stock one for now though. Does the stock one work pretty well?

Yeah the stock one will work good..But the plastic props flex under load..With the metal props you will gain a few more mph..

Most will say an x642 (which is a great prop), but me thinks the grim 42x55 is a better choice or even a x442. I think this boat like less pitch. I did have some good results with the x642 though, but I think the others I listed suit this hull a little better. JMO
